DV350 Changes to definition of 'single dwelling block'

Draft Variation No 350 (DV350) proposes changes to the definition of ‘single dwelling block’ including changing the name of the definition to ‘standard block’. These changes will have interim effect so any development applications lodged on or after 7 September 2018 May will be subject to the changes in DV350.

Interim Effect

Section 65 of the Planning and Development Act 2007 applies to DV350. This means that the provisions of Draft Variation No 350 have interim effect, and apply to development applications lodged on or after 7 September 2018.

 

DV359 Tharwa

Draft Variation 359 (DV359) incorporates the outcomes and recommendations of the Tharwa Village Plan into the Territory Plan. The draft variation proposes to:

  • remove the sport and recreation reserve public land overlay from the Territory Plan Map for Block 10 Section 6 Tharwa as this is a historical mapping error and is not applicable to this block; and
  • introduce built form controls into the Tharwa Precinct Map and Code including
    building and height controls, setbacks and plot ratio restrictions to reflect the
    existing or desired character of the village.

DV342 Belconnen Town Centre

Draft Variation 342 Belconnen Town Centre (DV342) is incorporating the planning policy recommendations of the approved Belconnen Town Centre master plan. It is proposing changes to zones within the Division of Belconnen and amendments to the Belconnen precinct map and code.

DV342 has been recommended to the Minister for Planning and Land Management for consideration and referral to the Standing Committee on Planning and Urban Renewal.

DV345 Mawson Group Centre

Draft Variation 345 Mawson Group Centre (DV345) is incorporating the planning policy recommendations of the approved Mawson group centre master plan into the Territory Plan. It is proposing changes to zones within the Division of Mawson and amendments to the Mawson precinct map and code.

DV345 has been recommended to the Minister for Planning for determination.
