The Government has released a new guideline to ensure building approval applications include the level of documentation required under the Building Act.
The guideline is part of the ACT Government’s building reform agenda.
The guideline tells building owners and designers the minimum documentation they need to submit for building approval. Building certifiers will be able to see exactly what is proposed and whether it complies with the building code and the ACT Building Act.
Building industry bodies and the Government Architect were invited to review the guideline and provide feedback and we have taken their comments into account. Government will also provide further information sessions for industry and industry associations on the new guideline.
