Talk with us
Two of the legislated responsibilities and functions of the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD) are to:
- ensure community consultation and participation in planning decisions
- promote public education and understanding of the planning process, including easily accessible public information on planning and land use.
We are committed to the principles of Open Government, which means:
- transparency in process and information
- participation by citizens in the governing process
- public collaboration in finding solutions to problems and participation in the improved well-being of the community
We engage with the ACT community in many ways, not only to meet statutory requirements but because we seek to ensure that strategic planning and policy development recognises and responds to the views, concerns and aspirations of the broader community.
