The Lease and Development Conditions Register provides specific information around development for older blocks.

Registered units plan

Any development approval (DA) conditions in the Notice of Decision for a Registered Units Plan is publicly available.

To access this information, you can search for the notice of decision on the decided development applications page or via the DA Finder App. The decided development applications page has records dating back to 2019. If the information you are searching for is not available on the decided development applications page, you can email Access Canberra Land, Planning, and Building Services at acepdcustomerservice@act.gov.au with the following details:

  • Block and Section
  • Registered Units Plan number
  • Development approval (DA) number (if you know it).

The Access Canberra Land, Planning, and Building Services team will respond to you within 5 working days.

This service is free of charge.

Lease and development conditions

Lease and development conditions do not apply to development proposals in the 2023 planning system. The conditions below may apply to development proposals considered under transition arrangements in the 2007 planning system.

Any blocks built after 2011 won’t have additional Lease and Development Conditions applied other than those listed in the registered Crown Lease. To obtain a copy of the crown lease, you can perform a crown lease search from the ACT Land Titles Register. Search fees apply.
