Suburban Land Agency
The Suburban Land Agency sells and develops land on behalf of the ACT Government. This includes residential, commercial and industrial land.
They sell land in a few ways:
- immediate sale (over-the-counter)
- auction and ballot
- tender and expression of interest (EOI).
Sometimes the government may also release land by 'direct sale'. This process is managed by the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate. A direct sale is where they offer a lease for sale without going through a competitive process such as an auction. This may be appropriate in limited circumstances, and under a strict criteria.
City Renewal Authority
The City Renewal Authority is leading the transformation of the city renewal precinct. This precinct spans Dickson, Northbourne Avenue, Haig Park, Civic and West Basin.
Land sold in this precinct will generally be part of large development projects.
