The minor amendment proposes to make minor changes to the following:
Molonglo Valley District Policy
- amend assessment outcome 3 to clarify the intentions around place making and built form for the Molonglo town centre and surrounds
- clarify that assessment outcome 9 regarding views only applies to assessment of subdivision design application proposals (land in a future urban area)
- amend Assessment Requirement 36 to specify that the part of the provision referencing assessment outcomes for building heights does not include Assessment Outcome 9
Territory Plan Map
- rezone the parcel shown in Figure 3 in the minor amendment, which is in a future urban area, from Residential RZ3 – Urban Residential Zone to Residential RZ5 – High Density Residential Zone

The Territory Planning Authority is providing notice that MA2026-08 is open for limited consultation.
Public consultation period: 11 May until 26 June 2026.

Invitation to give written comments
The Territory Planning Authority invites written comments about MA2026-08 during the consultation period.
Consultation comments can be submitted by:

- hand delivery to: Access Canberra Building Services Shopfront at 8 Darling Street, Mitchell ACT 2911; and include a reference to MA2026-08.

A copy of any consultation comments will be made available on the authority website for at least 15 working days, starting no more than 10 working days after the end of the consultation period.
You may apply under the Act, section 502, for part of your consultation comments to be excluded from being made available to the public for commercial or safety reasons. A request for exclusion must be in writing, clearly identifying what you are seeking to exclude and how the request satisfies the exclusion criteria. Please note that names and contact details of individuals making submissions will not be published. Contact information of business, community, industry, political and interest groups making submissions may be published.
